Most Haunted is a British paranormal reality television series that explores reportedly haunted locations in the United Kingdom and Europe. The show, now in its sixteenth season, utilizes a team of investigators who use various devices, including night-vision cameras, thermal imaging cameras, and EMF meters, in an attempt to capture evidence of paranormal activity.
In episode 3 of season 16, the team ventures to the Annison Funeral Parlour in Hull, East Yorkshire. The building, which opened in 1854, has a long and storied history, having served as a funeral home, a mortuary, and even a furniture showroom in the decades since it ceased being a funeral parlour.
The team begins their investigation by exploring the basement, which has been utilized as a storage area for coffins and other funeral-related items. Yvette Fielding, the show's host, notes the oppressive feeling of the space, commenting that it feels as though someone is watching them from the shadows.
While in the basement, the team hears a loud banging noise, which they attribute to a metal cabinet moving on its own. They also capture several EVPs (electronic voice phenomena), which are believed to be the voices of spirits that cannot be heard by the naked ear.
Moving to the main floor of the funeral parlour, the team sets up several cameras and EMF meters. They soon begin to experience unexplained, anomalous activity, including doors opening and closing on their own, objects moving inexplicably, and even sudden changes in temperature.
One member of the team captures a startling image on his camera, which appears to show a figure standing in one of the rooms. Though the figure is indistinct and difficult to make out, the team believes it may be a spirit attempting to manifest.
As the investigation progresses, the team begins to feel increasingly uneasy. Yvette Fielding comments that she feels as though something is trying to communicate with them, while other members of the team report feeling a sense of dread or unease.
Eventually, the team decides to conduct a séance in an effort to make contact with any spirits present in the building. They gather around a table and attempt to make contact with any spirits that may be present, asking a series of questions and listening for any responses through their devices.
The séance seems to be successful, as the team captures several EVPs and even hears knocking sounds in response to their questions. However, they also experience a sudden and inexplicable drop in temperature, causing them to end the séance and retreat to a safer location.
Overall, the investigation of the Annison Funeral Parlour is a chilling and unsettling episode, with the team experiencing a wide range of unexplained phenomena and capturing several EVPs and other evidence of paranormal activity. Fans of the show will not want to miss this spooky installment.
