Watch Moon River

The television show Moon River is a show that is aired in South Korea. The Korean name of this show translates into Return of ll Ji-Mae. The show is a drama and also has storylines that often deal with romance. The story of the show follows a man that was born out of wedlock. His father was a high ranking official in the Korean military. His mother was a servant. To protect the pride and honor of this father's family he was abandoned as a baby. He was later found under the branches of an apricot tree. When found he was named Llimae which means branch of apricot tree.

Llimae was adopted by a family. They lived in the town of Qing Kindgom. While he is loved to his adoptive family he wants to find out more about his past. When he gets older he finds out who his father was and sent out to visit him. He is once again turned away by his father. He is sadden on the journey home. Llmae decides to take all out his hurt and anger out on the ruling class. He fights for the injustice and poor treatment he sees of the common people. Whenever he fights for the common person an apricot branch is left behind.

Most of the time Llimae prefers to be alone. That is until he met one woman that is able to change his mind. This woman is named Wol-hee and she is able to reconnect him with the world around him. While fighting for the poor he often wears a mask so he can look like a true hero to his people.

This television show got its inspiration from a comic series called Llijmae. This comic was popular in from 1975 until 1977. There have been many battles that Llijmae has fought over the course of the show. He has taken on a powerful politician, as well as leaders of gang. In the end Llijmae and justice always win in the name of the poor people.
