In Monsterquest season 2, we join the team in episode 2, titled "Vampire Beast," as they travel to the rural areas of Vermont to investigate reports of a creature that locals have been dubbing the "Vampire Beast." The team consists of expert trackers, biologists, and video specialists, all with extensive experience in the field of cryptozoology.
The Vampire Beast has been described as a hybrid between a wolf and a vampire, and it is said to have red eyes that glow in the dark. Witnesses claim that the creature has killed numerous livestock, and some even believe that it has attacked humans.
To get to the bottom of the mystery surrounding the Vampire Beast, the team sets up a series of cameras throughout the vast wilderness of Vermont. They also bring in a seasoned tracker to follow the creature's trail, and biologists collect DNA samples from the area's local wildlife in hopes of finding evidence of the mysterious animal.
As the investigation progresses, the team uncovers numerous sightings of the Vampire Beast from locals dating back to the early 1900s. They also explore the possibility of a vampire-like creature existing in the animal kingdom by studying vampire bats and other nocturnal creatures known for their predatory behavior.
However, as hard evidence of the Vampire Beast seems elusive, the team zeroes in on a series of unexplained animal attacks that have taken place in the area. They enlist the help of a veterinarian to perform necropsies on the animals, looking for any signs of a predator that could match the description of the Vampire Beast.
After several long days of investigation, the team finally captures a glimpse of the creature on their cameras. The footage is blurry and inconclusive, but it shows a large, shadowy figure moving swiftly through the woods.
While the Vampire Beast remains a mystery, the team concludes that the creature could possibly be a hybrid of a known species. They also hypothesize that it could be a variation of the infamous Chupacabra that has been reported throughout Latin America and the American Southwest.
In the end, the Vampire Beast remains a cryptid that has yet to be fully understood. The Monsterquest team remains committed to finding the truth about elusive and mysterious creatures such as this one.
