Ep 20. Shinobu Time, Part 4

Araragi and Shinobu head to the alternate timeline in search of the original Kiss-Shot Acerola-Orion Heart-Under-Blade. The timeline is a post-apocalyptic world in which a virus has wiped out the majority of humanity. Despite the bleakness of the world, Araragi and Shinobu manage to find their way to a lab where they believe they can find the answer they seek.

As they delve deeper into the lab, they discover that it is run by Shinobu's alternate self, Oshino Shinobu. However, Oshino Shinobu is not the same Shinobu that Araragi and the audience have come to know and love. Instead, she is a completely different person, one who has been twisted and warped by the events of the alternate timeline.

Oshino Shinobu reveals that she is the one responsible for creating the virus that wiped out humanity, and that she did so in order to preserve the balance of the world. She explains that without humans, there will be no more conflict or suffering, and that the world will be a better place as a result.

Araragi and Shinobu naturally disagree with this philosophy, and a battle ensues between the two Shinobus. The fight is intense, with both sides unleashing their full power against each other. Although our Shinobu is ultimately victorious, it comes at a great cost.

After the fight, Araragi and Shinobu are able to find the original Kiss-Shot, but it is not in the condition they expected. It is revealed that Kiss-Shot has been infected with the virus and has turned into a monster. This poses a problem for Araragi, as he was hoping to use Kiss-Shot's powers to help his friend Kanbaru.

However, Araragi is not deterred, and he comes up with a plan to save Kiss-Shot. He promises to cure her of the virus, and in exchange, he asks for her help in curing Kanbaru. It is a risky plan, but Araragi is confident that he can pull it off.

As the episode comes to a close, Araragi and Shinobu head back to their own timeline, with Kiss-Shot in tow. It's clear that there are still many challenges ahead, but Araragi is determined to do whatever it takes to help his friends and loved ones.
