In the fifth episode of the fifth season of the hit TV show, Monk, titled "Mr. Monk, Private Eye," obsessive-compulsive detective Adrian Monk takes on a new role as a private investigator when he is hired by a woman named Miranda Bigley to find evidence that her husband, Palmer Bigley, is cheating on her.
