The next few scenes establish the backgrounds of the robbers and how the heist is being planned. We learn that Tokyo, who will be the narrator of the series, has a criminal past that she's trying to leave behind. We also learn that Berlin, the leader of the gang, is arrogant and cold-hearted, while Moscow is his second-in-command and Denver is Moscow's son. We see each robber practicing their skills, such as breaking open safes and forging documents, as they prepare for the heist.

The episode then shifts its focus to the Mint, which is shown to be a highly secure government facility with multiple layers of security measures. The robbers need to get past all these layers to get to the printing presses. The Professor has planned for everything, even having a geologist on hand to design a tunnel that leads to the printing presses. We see the robbers enter the Mint through the tunnel, disguised as painters and wearing red jumpsuits and Salvador Dali masks.

Once inside, the robbers quickly get to work, printing and bagging up millions of euros. They need to be careful not to trip any alarms or get caught by the guards, who regularly patrol the Mint's hallways. The robbers soon discover that there are hostages inside the Mint, including the Mint's director, Arturo Roman, who is a pompous and self-important man. The robbers quickly take control of the hostages, placing them in a separate room and ensuring they don't pose a threat to their plan.

There are a few complications along the way, which add to the tension of the episode. Tokyo and Rio, who have a romantic history, end up having sex in the Mint's bathroom, which compromises their ability to focus on the job at hand. Moscow ends up getting injured in a scuffle with one of the guards, which worries Denver, and as the episode ends, it's unclear whether or not he will survive.

Overall, the first episode of Money Heist is an exciting and action-packed introduction to the series. It sets up the characters, their motivations, and the plan for the heist, and leaves the audience wanting more. The show's unique storyline and the gang's colorful personalities are enough to keep viewers hooked, and the episode ends on a cliffhanger that promises even more excitement to come.
