Bonnie is having a difficult time trying to adjust to the changes that have occurred in her life and in her relationships. She feels like her past mistakes are still haunting her and that she's unable to move on from them. Meanwhile, her daughter Christy is dealing with her own set of problems as she tries to balance her job, her relationship, and her sobriety. In this episode, titled "Pork Loin and a Beat-Up Monte Carlo," Bonnie and Christy must come together to help a friend in need.

The episode kicks off with Bonnie waking up from a nightmare about her past. She tries to brush it off, but it's clear that she's struggling with some deep-seated issues. Christy, on the other hand, is trying to stay positive and focused on her job at the law firm. She's also still seeing her boyfriend, Patrick, and things seem to be going well between them.

Their lives intersect when Marjorie, one of their friends from their Alcoholics Anonymous support group, calls Bonnie for help. Marjorie's son, Travis, has been arrested for stealing a car and needs someone to post bail. Marjorie doesn't have the money, so Bonnie and Christy offer to help out. They head to the police station, but things take a turn when Travis reveals that he stole the car to buy drugs.

Bonnie is furious with Travis and tries to lecture him about the dangers of addiction. Christy, however, takes a more empathetic approach, revealing that she too struggled with addiction and knows how hard it can be to break free from it. She offers to help Travis get into a rehab program, but he initially refuses, insisting that he's not ready to quit.

The trio leaves the police station with Travis in tow, unsure of what to do next. They end up at a diner, where they order some comfort food and try to come up with a plan. As they eat, they reminisce about old times and share stories about their past struggles with addiction.

Meanwhile, Bonnie's old car, a beat-up Monte Carlo, breaks down outside the diner. She's frustrated and embarrassed, but Christy uses it as an opportunity to bond with her mother. She suggests that they take the car to the mechanic and fix it up together. Bonnie is hesitant at first, but eventually agrees, seeing it as a chance to reconnect with her daughter.

They take the car to the shop and have a long, frustrating conversation with the mechanic, who's clearly taking advantage of their lack of knowledge about cars. Bonnie is ready to give up and scrap the car, but Christy insists that they stick with it and keep trying. Eventually, they're able to find a solution and get the car up and running again.

Back at the diner, Travis has a change of heart and decides that he wants to get clean. Christy helps him find a rehab program and promises to be there for him every step of the way. Bonnie, too, is feeling more hopeful about her future as she repairs her relationship with her daughter and helps Travis get on the path to recovery.

The episode ends with the three of them driving off in the refurbished Monte Carlo, singing along to the radio and feeling a sense of camaraderie and possibility. It's a heartwarming moment that showcases the strength of the bond between these women and the power of their commitment to sobriety and each other.
