Ep 12. Hacky Sack and a Beautiful Experience

Mom season 6 episode 12, titled "Hacky Sack and a Beautiful Experience," follows the main characters Christy, Bonnie, and Marjorie as they navigate their respective recoveries from addiction and trauma. Meanwhile, Christy's teenage daughter Violet is dealing with her own issues. She's been struggling with anxiety, and her boyfriend's recent breakup has made things even harder for her. Christy tries to comfort Violet and offer advice, but Violet pushes her away, feeling like her mother doesn't understand what she's going through.

Back at the meeting, Christy and Bonnie are surprised to see that their hacky sack skills have improved dramatically in just a short amount of time. They start to see the game as a way to challenge themselves and have fun while staying sober. Marjorie is thrilled by their progress and encourages them to keep it up.

Later, Christy runs into her ex-boyfriend Gabriel at the grocery store, and the two end up chatting for a while. Gabriel tells Christy that he's recently started meditating and that it's been helping him stay centered and focused. Christy is intrigued and decides to try it out for herself.

At home that night, Christy struggles to quiet her mind and focus on her breathing during meditation. But as she perseveres, she starts to feel a sense of peace and clarity that she hasn't experienced in a long time. She realizes that she's been so caught up in her own problems that she hasn't been there for Violet when she needed her, and decides to reach out and offer her support.

Meanwhile, Bonnie is dealing with her own family issues. Her son Adam is having trouble adjusting to life in a wheelchair after being paralyzed in a motorcycle accident, and Bonnie feels powerless to help him. But when Adam comes to her for advice, Bonnie is able to offer him some words of encouragement and a listening ear.

The episode ends with all the characters coming together to play hacky sack in the parking lot once again, enjoying each other's company and feeling grateful for the support they've found in one another. As they head home, they all feel a sense of hope and connection that comes from knowing they're not alone in their struggles.
