Meanwhile, at home, the rest of the gang is trying to help Marjorie at her charity event, which includes a silent auction. According to Marjorie, the event requires an excessive amount of thank you notes to be written and sent out to potential donors. The group sets to work, but soon finds themselves overwhelmed with the task.
When Christy expresses her anxiety about her upcoming law school finals, Adam offers to help her study. This generous gesture puts a strain on their relationship, however, when Christy feels like Adam is trying to control her.
As the episode progresses, the two storylines converge in unexpected ways. Through the process of writing the thank you notes, the group is forced to confront their own resentments and past traumas. At the funeral, Bonnie discovers shocking secrets about her family's history that shed light on her own struggles with addiction and abandonment.
As always, the episode is filled with humor, heart, and powerful performances from the cast. Fans of the show will appreciate this episode's exploration of complex family dynamics and the importance of forgiveness and understanding.
Overall, "Fish Town and Too Many Thank You's" is another solid addition to the series, tackling difficult topics with humor and heart.
