Hakeem tries to help Moesha feel better by giving her a new dress, but her self-doubt only intensifies. She weighs herself and becomes more anxious about her weight. In an attempt to lose weight quickly, Moesha takes diet pills, which make her jittery and unwell.

Later that day, she sees Hakeem in the hallway and confronts him about his comments regarding her weight. Hakeem denies any malice, saying that he thought he was helping her. Moesha accepts his explanation and the two make up.
Finally, Frank summons his friend into his office to let him go. It is a tough conversation, but it goes better than Frank expected. His friend is understanding and even offers to train his replacement. Frank is relieved and grateful to have such a great friend.
