Ep 11. The Day We Almost Died

As they realize that they have to rely on each other for survival, they decide to have some fun. Luke discovers the joys of karaoke and they all get competitive with a game of charades. However, as the hours pass and the power doesn’t come back on, they start to worry about their parents’ safety. In an effort to find out what’s going on, they venture out of the house and find a way to get in touch with their parents.

The third storyline focuses on Cam and Mitchell who are trying to run errands with Lily while experiencing a series of mishaps. From a broken-down car to a lost wallet, everything seems to be going wrong for them. However, things take a serious turn when they witness a car accident and Cam, being his typical hero self, jumps into action to help those in need. The incident triggers a conversation between Cam and Mitchell about mortality and the importance of being present in the moment.

The episode is a testament to the show’s ability to weave in humor and heart, and showcases the unique dynamics of the Modern Family. It’s a reminder that sometimes it takes a crisis to bring people together and appreciate the bonds that they share.
