Ep 4. Strangers on a Treadmill

Modern Family is an Emmy-winning American sitcom that revolves around the lives of three families, who are related by Jay Pritchett, his daughter Claire Dunphy, and his son Mitchell Pritchett. Over at Jay's house, he and his young wife Gloria are trying to plan their honeymoon, but they keep running into problems. They are unable to agree on a destination, and when Gloria suggests they have a joint bachelor and bachelorette party, Jay doesn't seem too thrilled about the idea. Later, Jay is approached by Dede, his ex-wife and the mother of his children, who wants to catch up. Jay is hesitant, so he confides in Gloria, who encourages him to go through with it.

Meanwhile, Cameron and Mitchell are planning Lily's first birthday party. Mitchell is upset that Cameron has gone over-the-top with the decorations and is worried that their guests will think they're trying too hard. Cameron, on the other hand, is excited to throw a lavish party for their daughter and insists on having a petting zoo and a pony ride.

As the various storylines come to a head, Claire decides to come clean to Phil about the kiss. Phil is initially devastated but ultimately forgives her. Jay goes to see Dede and ends up having a heart-to-heart with her about their past, which leads to a new understanding between them. Cam and Mitchell's party is a hit, and they end up bonding with the other parents in attendance.
