Modern Dads is a reality TV show on the A&E network depicting the lives of 4 stay at home dads: Nathan, Rick, Sean, and Stone. The show, set in Austin, Texas, follows these four college friends who all decided it was best to stay home with the kids. Nathan is the new father, navigating life with an infant; Sean is the old-timer, with four kids, two boys and twin daughters; Sean is a step-dad helping raise two daughters his girlfriend had before meeting him; and finally, there's Stone, a single dad with three kids. These four guys work hard at fulfilling their roles as fathers while also trying to find meaning in the words "modern man". They're pulling double duty as Modern Dads and "modern men".
