Artesia's Sorrow is the second episode of the first season of Mobile Suit Gundam The Origin. The episode follows the aftermath of the assassination of Zeon Zum Deikun and the struggles of his orphaned children, Casval and Artesia, as they try to make sense of their new reality.

The episode starts with the funeral of Zeon Zum Deikun, where Casval and Artesia are heartbroken to see their father's body being taken away. The political turmoil surrounding their father's death has left the children isolated, as they are now seen as a liability to the Zabi family, who have taken control of the Principality of Zeon.

The Zabi family, led by Degwin Sodo Zabi and his three children, Gihren, Garma, and Dozle, are now in power. They have also taken possession of Zeon's technology, which includes new mobile suits that can operate in space. As the Zabi family consolidates its power, they begin to implement policies that restrict the rights of non-Zeon citizens.

While Dr. Minovsky, a scientist who once worked for Zeon Zum Deikun, tries to help Casval and Artesia, their caretaker Fraw Bow is discovered as a spy for the Earth Federation Forces. The Zabi family accuses her of being a traitor and sentence her to death. But, Casval and Artesia manage to rescue Fraw and flee to Earth, where they hope to find refuge.

On Earth, Casval and Artesia assume new identities to hide their true identities, with Casval taking on the name of Edward Mass and Artesia being called Sayla Mass. They go to school and try to blend in, but the memories of their past haunt them, and they struggle with the trauma of losing their father and being forced to flee their home.

As the siblings try to adjust to their new life, they also discover that their father's assassination was not a random act of violence. They come to learn of a group within the Zabi family who orchestrated the killing in an effort to consolidate their own power. This revelation pushes Casval and Artesia to seek revenge on those responsible for their father's death.

Artesia's Sorrow is a compelling episode that delves deep into the psychological and emotional aftermath of war and political upheaval. The characters are well-developed, and their struggles are relatable and heart-wrenching. The episode seamlessly blends action, drama, and suspense, keeping the audience on the edge of their seats throughout.

The animation in the episode is exemplary, with vivid colors, detailed character designs, and dynamic fight scenes. The use of music is also noteworthy, with a poignant and evocative score that enhances the emotional impact of the story.

Overall, Artesia's Sorrow is a must-watch episode for fans of the Mobile Suit Gundam franchise and anyone who appreciates compelling storytelling and well-crafted animation. The episode sets the stage for what promises to be an epic and emotionally charged series, and leaves viewers eagerly anticipating the next installment.
