Kira struggles with his role in the war, as his actions during battle haunt him. Meanwhile, the Archangel faces off against the ZAFT forces once again, this time with the help of the Earth Alliance. As the battle rages on, tensions rise aboard the ship, with different factions vying for power and influence. Athrun and Cagalli continue to grapple with their conflicting loyalties, as their friendship is put to the test. Amidst the chaos and turmoil, Kira and Lacus find solace in each other's company and begin to build a deeper connection.
