In the third episode of season three of Mistresses, titled "Odd Couples," our four leading ladies are struggling to navigate their complicated love lives and personal dramas.
Joss (played by Jes Macallan) is still reeling from the revelation that her ex-fiancé, Scott, has a wife and now a newborn daughter. She’s not sure what to do with this newfound information and is using her best friend Karen (played by Yunjin Kim) as a sounding board. Meanwhile, Karen is dealing with her own relationship issues, as she's still torn between Alec (played by Ed Quinn) and Adam (played by Patrick Heusinger).
April (played by Rochelle Aytes) is attempting to move on from her late husband and is considering starting a new relationship with a man named Daniel (played by Ricky Whittle). However, her daughter’s disapproval and her own feelings of guilt are holding her back. And finally, Savi (played by Alyssa Milano) is still navigating her complicated love life with both Zack (played by Jason George) and Harry (played by Brett Tucker), all while trying to balance motherhood and work.
In this episode, tensions rise between Joss and Harry when he takes her out on a platonic date, causing Zack to become jealous. April also finds herself in an awkward situation when she is set up on a blind date by her daughter's teacher, only to realize that the man is actually her friend Mark's (played by Rob Mayes) ex-boyfriend.
Meanwhile, Karen must face the consequences of her actions when Alec confronts her about her reluctance to commit to their relationship. And Savi struggles to balance her personal life and her job when she’s tasked with representing a woman who was fired from her job for being too attractive.
As the episode progresses, our leading ladies must confront their fears and anxieties, ultimately learning that there are no easy answers when it comes to matters of the heart. With plenty of drama, romance, and heartache, "Odd Couples" is another compelling chapter in the lives of the Mistresses.
