In Mistresses (2013) season 2 episode 1, titled "Rebuild," we are reintroduced to a group of four women: Savi, Josslyn, Karen, and April. April is newly married to Daniel, but she is struggling with the loss of her husband, Paul, who died in a tragic accident. She has also been keeping a secret from Daniel, about a man she met online who claims to have information about Paul's death.
As the episode progresses, we see the women supporting each other through their respective struggles. Savi begins physical therapy and contemplates forgiveness and moving on from her husband's infidelity. Josslyn decides to take a leap of faith and quit her job, while Karen confesses her affair to her colleagues and is met with mixed reactions. April decides to meet the man from the internet in hopes of gaining closure about her husband's death.
The episode ends with an intense cliffhanger, leaving the audience wondering what the consequences of Karen's confession will be and what the mysterious man from the internet has in store for April.
