Ep 22. The Confession

The IMF must prove the murder was not ordered by Solowiechek's government and thus avoid escalation of the cold war. Their attention is drawn to R.J. McMillan (Pat Hingle), financial backer of the late senator and a militant extremist who is attempting to incite violent reprisals for the murder. Realizing that only a confession from Solowiechek can prove their suspicions, the IMF engineers his daring escape from prison handcuffed to another "felon" Rollin Hand. Threatened with being killed, Solowiechek admits that McMillan hired him for the killing. The plot becomes even more bizarre when Hand confronts McMillan with the confession.
