Miss Ripley is a 2011 Korean drama that tells the story of Jang Miri, a beautiful and ambitious woman who embarks on a journey of lies and deceit to achieve her dreams. The drama is set in the world of high society in South Korea. Jang Miri, played by Lee Da-hae, is a young woman who grew up in poverty and had to work hard to make ends meet. Despite her difficult background, she is determined to make a name for herself and live the lavish lifestyle of the wealthy elite.

To achieve her dreams, Jang Miri resorts to deception to get a job at a luxury hotel. She pretends to be an Ivy League-educated hotel management graduate, but in reality, she never even finished high school. However, her charming personality and excellent work ethic make her a valuable employee, and she quickly rises through the ranks to become a VIP receptionist.

As Jang Miri continues to climb the social ladder, she meets and falls in love with Song Yoo-hyun, played by Park Yoochun, the heir to a powerful conglomerate. However, their relationship is soon tested when Jang Miri's past catches up with her, and she is forced to confront the consequences of her lies.

Meanwhile, Jang Miri's former friend and rival, Na Hee-joo, played by Kang Hye-jeong, resurfaces to exact revenge on her for ruining her life. Na Hee-joo becomes obsessed with exposing Jang Miri's secrets and destroying her reputation.

The drama also explores the relationships between Jang Miri and her colleagues in the hotel industry, including the hotel's CEO, Jang Myung-hoon, played by Kim Seung-woo, who becomes romantically involved with Jang Miri.

Miss Ripley is a thrilling drama that delves into themes of ambition, revenge, and love. Lee Da-hae delivers a captivating performance as Jang Miri, portraying her character's complex emotions and internal struggles with authenticity. Park Yoochun also shines as the dashing and wealthy Song Yoo-hyun, who must come to terms with Jang Miri's past.

The supporting cast of the drama is equally impressive, with Kang Hye-jeong delivering a powerful performance as the vengeful Na Hee-joo, and Kim Seung-woo portraying the stoic CEO, Jang Myung-hoon, with depth and nuance.

Overall, Miss Ripley is a must-watch drama for anyone who enjoys complex characters, intricate plotlines, and in-depth explorations of human desires and motivations. The drama is a reminder that the pursuit of one's dreams often comes at a cost and that honesty and integrity are vital ingredients in any successful relationship, be it romantic or professional.
