In Mirai Sentai Timeranger season 1 episode 38, titled "Case File 38: Good Night," the Timerangers find themselves facing an unusual enemy—a monster that can enter people's dreams and manipulate them to do its bidding. The episode opens with a woman named Mika having a nightmare about the monster, which causes her to wake up screaming.
The next day, the Timerangers investigate the strange occurrences surrounding Mika and discover that several other people in the area have also been suffering from intense nightmares. They quickly deduce that the culprit must be the monster they're after, and they set out to track it down.
The team splits up to cover more ground, with Tatsuya and Domon going to Mika's workplace and the others investigating nearby neighborhoods. However, as they search for clues, they start falling asleep one by one. Domon is the only one left awake, and he tries to keep the others from being affected by slapping them or pouring cold water on them.
Meanwhile, the monster continues to wreak havoc in people's dreams by making them do things against their will. It even forces a young girl to steal a valuable necklace from her own mother. The Timerangers soon realize that they need to find a way to enter people's dreams themselves in order to stop the monster.
They consult with their friend and ally, a man named Asami, who is an expert in dream psychology. Asami explains that it's possible to enter people's dreams by synchronizing brain waves, but it requires a great deal of concentration and mental discipline. He agrees to help the Timerangers, and they begin their training.
Through a series of mind exercises, visualization techniques, and deep breathing, the Timerangers learn how to control their own dreams and enter other people's dreams. They also learn how to protect themselves from the monster's influence.
Finally, the team is ready to face the monster in the dream world. They enter Mika's dream first and find themselves in a fantastical landscape with strange creatures and obstacles. The monster appears and taunts them, but the Timerangers are able to fight back using their special abilities and weapons.
The battle is intense, with the monster using its mind control powers to try and defeat the Timerangers. However, the team is determined and resourceful, and they eventually defeat the monster and return to the real world.
Asami commends the Timerangers for their mental fortitude and bravery, and he expresses his admiration for their ability to enter and control their own dreams. The episode ends with the Timerangers reflecting on the power of dreams and how they can affect both the individual and the world at large.
