Ep 9. Moving Out: Part One

Daniel Radcliffe and Steve Buscemi star in the ninth episode of the second season of Miracle Workers, titled "Moving Out: Part One." It picks up after the cliffhanger ending of the previous episode as the crew prepares to move The Ship out of the world.

The episode kicks off with Sanjay (Karan Soni) filling in as CEO of Heaven Inc., nervously awaiting the arrival of God (Buscemi). Meanwhile, Craig (Radcliffe) and Eliza (Geraldine Viswanathan) are assigned to lead The Ship's move through the tunnel to Planet Earth. They struggle to get the rest of the crew on board, including an emotional Mikey (Jon Bass), who is having trouble saying goodbye to his alien girlfriend.

The action moves to Hell, where Sam (Sasha Compère) is on the hunt for a new job, much to the delight of her boss, God's jester (Bill Maher). The two engage in a hilarious conversation about job openings in Hell, complete with devilish puns.

Back on The Ship, Craig and Eliza face obstacles, both logistical and emotional, as they prepare to say goodbye to their home and current way of life. A surprise twist further complicates their plans, leaving them to make some difficult decisions about the future.

"Moving Out: Part One" is a satisfying continuation of Miracle Workers' blend of absurd humor and heart. The episode highlights the strong performances of Radcliffe, Buscemi, and the rest of the cast, as well as the show's ability to balance silliness with genuine emotion.

While it certainly sets up the climactic events of the season finale, "Moving Out: Part One" stands on its own as a well-crafted and entertaining episode of television. With only one episode left in the season, fans will be eager to see how the story concludes.
