Season 1 Episode 5 of Mike the Knight is titled "Mike the Knight and the Fluttering Favour/Mike the Knight and the Tricky Trail." The episode is divided into two different stories, each with its own unique plot and lesson.
In the first story titled "Mike the Knight and the Fluttering Favour," Mike is tasked with completing an important mission for his sister Evie. She wants him to deliver a fluttering favor to a person named Glendragon. The fluttering favor is a piece of paper with a drawing of a butterfly that when folded correctly, can be made to fly like a real butterfly. The mission seems simple, but Mike soon realizes that the journey to Glendragon's castle is full of obstacles and challenges.
On his way, Mike comes across a stream that he needs to cross. He decides to build a makeshift bridge using logs and rocks, but the bridge collapses midway, and Mike falls into the water. He is wet and miserable, but he doesn't give up. He continues his journey, and soon he comes across a steep hill that he needs to climb. Mike's horse Galahad is unable to climb the hill, so Mike decides to climb it on foot. It's a long and tiring climb, but Mike doesn't give up, and he finally reaches the top.
Once at the top, Mike spots a falcon that has lost its way. He takes the falcon under his care and continues his journey towards Glendragon's castle. Upon arriving at the castle, Mike meets Glendragon who is delighted to receive the fluttering favor from Evie. In exchange for completing the mission, Glendragon offers Mike a reward of his choice, but Mike declines as he found that rescuing the falcon was a reward in itself.
In the second story titled "Mike the Knight and the Tricky Trail," Mike and his dragon friends are playing a game called 'Follow the Trail.' The game involves following a trail of colored stones and finding a treasure at the end. Mike's best friend Trollee is also playing the game, and he's determined to win at any cost. Trollee decides to cheat by making a fake trail that leads Mike and his friends away from the treasure.
Mike and his friends follow the fake trail, and soon they realize that they are lost. They have no idea where they are, and they can't find their way back. Mike knows that they need to find a way back home, but Trollee keeps insisting that they follow the false trail. Mike realizes that Trollee has cheated and that the only way to get back home is to find the real trail.
Mike uses his problem-solving skills to find clues and traces of the real trail. He spots a set of footprints that leads them in the right direction. They follow the footprints and soon find the real trail. They also find the treasure, but Mike knows that winning is not everything. He forgives Trollee for cheating and shares the treasure with him. The lesson of the story is that winning is not everything, and it's important to play fair and be a good sport.
Overall, Mike the Knight season 1 episode 5 is an exciting and adventurous episode that teaches children about perseverance, problem-solving, and fair play. It's a great show for preschoolers, and parents can use it as a tool to teach valuable life lessons.
