Mia and me follows a 12-year-old girl named Mia who finds herself transported to the magical world of Centopia, where she discovers that she can communicate with unicorns. In season 1 episode 11, titled "All that Glitters," Mia and her friends Yuko and Mo plan a surprise party for Prince Mo's birthday. However, things don't go quite as planned when Yuko accidentally breaks Mo's mother's precious dragonfly hair clip.
Feeling guilty, Yuko embarks on a mission to find a replacement. But when she stumbles upon a glittery unicorn horn, she becomes distracted and selfish, believing that the horn is the key to winning a beauty contest and becoming the most popular elf in Centopia. As she becomes more obsessed with the horn, Yuko begins to neglect her friends and their important mission to save the unicorns from the evil Queen Panthea.
Meanwhile, Mia and Mo try to find a way to fix the broken hair clip, but their attempts only seem to make things worse. Frustrated and upset, Mo decides to cancel his birthday altogether. But Mia won't give up so easily. With the help of her unicorn friend, Onchao, and a new ally, a mischievous bird named Kuki, Mia comes up with a plan to make Mo's birthday special after all.
As the tension between Yuko and her friends reaches a boiling point, Queen Panthea sends her minions to steal the glittery unicorn horn. In the end, it's up to Yuko to choose between her own selfish desires and the well-being of her friends and the unicorns.
