The series starts when Andreina is eighteen years old and a high school student preparing for final exams. Graciela is living with her parents at the time alongside her two cousins Maite and Silvia. Their grandmother is also living with them in the same house and together they all face the challenges of life supporting each other. These three cousins Graciela, Maite and Silvia are very close and work hard to achieve their dreams in life. However the three ladies face challenges along the line as they try to do so.
Gabriela is devastated when she finds out that the people she has called and known as parents all her life are not her true parents. She had been adopted by them into their beautiful family. What makes it worse is that she finds out that she is suffering from an illness known as aplastic anemia and is also pregnant for David's child.
Silvia on the other hand also becomes pregnant for her boyfriend Rafael who was once a notorious criminal reason why Silvia's parents did not like him.
Maite on her part is facing resistance from her mother who does not allow her to follow her dream of becoming a medical doctor but instead wants her to study music. At the music school she meets Abel with whom she falls in love with and started a relationship.
The 152 episode series was produced by RCTV which also took care of its broadcasting. The series was produced by Leonor Sadir.
At the end of the series Graciela dies as a result of the illness leaving behind her daughter whom she had with David and a devastated family to mourn her.
