Meet the Putmans is a reality television series that premiered on TLC in September 2017. The show follows the lives of the Putman family, who live under one roof in a mammoth 6,000 square-foot home in Michigan. There are 25 members of the family living in the house, including 4 generations ranging from grandparents to newborn babies. The show depicts the daily routines, struggles and joys of living in a house with so many people.

The Putman family is unique, as they have all chosen to live together in one big house instead of living apart, as is more common. They have always lived in the same house or nearby, and the idea of living all together came naturally to them. The family covers nearly every imaginable demographic, from young children to elderly grandparents, from married couples to single individuals, from those who work outside the house to those who work inside. Of the 25 occupants, only three are not related by blood or marriage.

The show follows the Putman family in their daily routine, providing an intimate peak into their unique lifestyle. The episodes vary, touching on everything from Christmas and Thanksgiving celebrations to hunting trips, and carpooling schedules to weekly dinners, as well as working to maintain their family business that includes a garbage disposal company and a daycare. In each episode, the viewer is transported into the lives of the family, observing how they navigate the pressures of living together as one big family.

One interesting aspect of the series is the portrayal of how the Putman family handles their internal dynamics. Despite the size of the family, there are surprisingly few bickering, fights, or arguments. Instead, the family seems to be exceptionally harmonious and supportive of each other. There is plenty of affection, good-natured teasing, and laughter amidst the many stresses and challenges of living in such a large household.

Viewers watch as the family shares not only their physical space but their emotional space as well. Although the Putmans have their own bedrooms, once they are up and ready for the day, they often move from room to room, working from their laptops, chatting, or watching TV in each other
