Allison Dubois is back again in the hit show Medium as she tackles more cases with her psychic abilities. The season 2 episode 21 is titled Death Takes a Policy, and it is a gripping storyline that will keep viewers on the edge of their seats.
In this episode, Allison's daughter Ariel is on a field trip to the zoo with her schoolmates. All of a sudden, Allison starts getting vivid visions of a man floating in a pool. Initially, she pays no attention to it as she assumes it's just one of her random visions. But soon she realizes that the vision is linked to a murder and decides to investigate.
Allison discovers that the man in her vision is named Tom Van Dyke, a wealthy businessman who was laundered money for a Mexican drug cartel. It becomes clear to her that Tom's death could have been the result of his shady business dealings, but she cannot connect a suspect to his death.
As Allison tries to piece together the clues, she discovers that two shady insurance salesmen, Ronnie and Donnie, had approached Tom about purchasing a life insurance policy. Ronnie and Donnie are suspect as they are sub-agents to a larger insurance company, and they were trying to get Tom to take a policy with a hefty payout to his son.
Allison realizes that it is not a coincidence that the two salesmen approached Tom at the same time he was involved in a high-risk business dealing. She determines that they orchestrated the purchase of Tom's policy so they could collect the payout after his death.
Allison continues to piece together the clues, which lead her to a shocking discovery. She finds out that Tom had a daughter from a previous marriage, and that Ronald had met with her a day before the murder to see whether she would accept a reduced payout as the policy beneficiary. Allison confronts Ronnie, who admits that he and Donnie were behind the plan to murder Tom.
Allison uses her psychic abilities to track Donnie and catch him in a sting operation for his role in the murder. Although Ronnie is reluctant to confess to the killing, Allison does not let him off the hook and presses him to reveal the truth. Ronnie eventually confesses, and the killer is brought to justice.
In conclusion, this is an excellent episode with a thrilling storyline that will keep viewers engaged to the end. Allison's psychic abilities, combined with her wit and intuition, make her into a charming character that will have fans begging for more. The episode is a nice blend of suspense, intrigue, and action and shows why Medium is one of the top-rated shows on TV.
