The musician, however, proves to be more difficult to work with than McCloud had anticipated.

Throughout the episode, McCloud clashes with the New York City police department, as well as his own colleague, Sgt. Broadhurst. Broadhurst is eager to use the latest technology and techniques to solve the case, but McCloud insists on relying on his own instincts. The two men bicker and argue throughout the episode.

By the end of the episode, McCloud has uncovered some key information that leads him to believe that the drug cartel is indeed involved in the murder. However, he still has a lot of work to do to unravel the case and bring the killer to justice.

"Man from Taos (1)" is an engaging and fast-paced episode that showcases the unique investigative approach of Chief Sam McCloud. His clash with the more technology-driven New York City police department creates tension and humor, and the mystery of the murder keeps viewers guessing until the very end.
