Max and Ruby is a Canadian animated television series for children produced by Nelvana and created by Rosemary Wells. The show is based on the popular children's book series by Wells. The show follows the adventures of two bunny siblings, Max and Ruby, who are constantly getting into trouble and learning valuable life lessons along the way.
In season 1 episode 23, titled "Max's Check Up/Max's Prize/Space Max," Max has to go to the doctor for a check-up. Ruby is excited to go with him and help him get over his fear of doctors. Along the way, they run into some of their friends, including Louise and Morris, who offer Max some words of advice.
Once they arrive at the doctor's office, Max is nervous and scared. Ruby helps him fill out his paperwork and keep him calm. As they wait for the doctor, Max starts to get antsy and fidgets around. Ruby tries to distract him by showing him a book and playing games with him.
Finally, it is their turn to see the doctor. Ruby goes in first with Max to show him that there is nothing to be afraid of. The doctor is gentle and kind and Max soon realizes that he has nothing to worry about. When it's Max's turn, he is brave and gets through it with the help of his sister and the doctor.
After the check-up, Max and Ruby head to the toy store where Max wins a prize for being brave at the doctor's office. He chooses a shiny red rocket ship and promptly forgets about his fear of doctors.
The episode takes a fun twist as Max plays with his new toy rocket ship and decides that he wants to be an astronaut. Ruby helps him create a space suit and they take off on a space adventure. Along the way, they encounter aliens and explore planets.
Overall, "Max's Check Up/Max's Prize/Space Max" is a heartwarming episode that teaches kids about the importance of facing their fears and being brave. It also sparks imagination and creativity in children by showing the fun possibilities of space exploration.
