In the season 2 episode 4 of Masters of Horror titled "Sounds Like," viewers are introduced to a struggling musician named Larry. He is a talented composer and has always been passionate about his music, but despite all his efforts, he has not been able to make it big in the music industry.
One day, while working on his latest composition, Larry hears a strange sound coming from his amplifier. It sounds like a scream, or a groan, and it starts to affect his music in a very strange way. He can't put his finger on it, but he knows that something is not quite right.
Things take a turn for the worse when Larry's girlfriend, Denise, begins to hear the same strange sounds coming from the amplifier. At first, she thinks it's just her imagination, but as the days go by, the sounds become more and more intense. They start to take over her mind, and she can't seem to escape them no matter what she does.
As Larry continues to work on his music, he becomes more and more obsessed with the strange sounds. He starts to ignore everything else in his life, including his relationship with Denise. Things start to spiral out of control when he begins to hear the sounds even when he's not playing his music. They haunt him constantly, and he starts to lose his grip on reality.
In the midst of all this, Larry's agent, Max, shows up with an offer to record his latest composition in a big, fancy studio. Larry sees this as his big break, but his obsession with the strange sounds threatens to ruin everything. As he works on the recording, the sounds become louder and more intense, until they are almost unbearable.
As the situation reaches its breaking point, Larry's past comes back to haunt him. It turns out that the strange sounds are not just in his head - they are the result of something he did many years ago. Larry must confront his past mistakes and face the consequences of his actions if he hopes to make it out of this alive.
