Ep 11. Vegas Deluxe & Oyster Shucks

In MasterChef season 8 episode 11, titled "Vegas Deluxe & Oyster Shucks," the remaining 10 contestants are challenged to cater a high-end Las Vegas party hosted by celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck.

The first challenge has the contestants split into two teams and create a stunning seafood platter featuring oysters, clams, shrimp, and crab. The teams only have 45 minutes to shuck the oysters and prepare the other seafood while managing their time and organization. Puck himself taste-tests the platters, and the losing team faces elimination in the next challenge.

For the second challenge, the remaining contestants are tasked with creating a signature dish inspired by their own culinary backgrounds. The contestants have an hour to prepare and present their dishes, with returning guest judge Aarón Sánchez joining the panel alongside Gordon Ramsay and Christina Tosi.

Throughout the episode, tensions run high as the contestants face intense judgment and criticism from the judges. One chef in particular struggles with the oyster challenge, while another's signature dish surprises the judges in an unexpected way.
