Ep 9. Roy Choi - Elevated Street Food

In MasterChef season 11 episode 9, the contestants are challenged to elevate street food in honor of chef Roy Choi, the creator of the food truck movement. The episode kicks off with a team challenge where the contestants have to take over a food truck and create dishes that represent their culinary point of view. While some of the contestants thrive under the pressure, others struggle to stay focused and execute their dishes with precision.

After the team challenge, the contestants return to the MasterChef kitchen to face a daunting individual challenge. They must prepare a dish inspired by their own cultural background, but it has to be a street food dish that can be elevated to restaurant quality. They have just one hour to shop for ingredients, and then two hours to cook and plate their dishes.
