Ep 8. Hatching a Plan

In MasterChef Junior season 4 episode 8, titled "Hatching a Plan," the young contestants are in for a treat as they embark on a culinary adventure unlike any other. The episode begins with the kids entering the MasterChef kitchen to find it transformed into a barnyard, complete with chickens and all!

With the help of Chef Gordon Ramsay and the judges, the aspiring chefs are tasked with creating a dish using ingredients found in the barnyard. However, there's a twist: they'll be using eggs, but not just any eggs, they'll be using eggs that they need to retrieve from the chickens themselves. This challenge puts their skills to the test as they not only have to find the eggs, but also prepare a dish that will impress the judges.

Next up, the contestants are challenged to prepare a meal for a special guest – some very important people who work for a charity organization, where they have a chance to donate their cooking skills. The challenge is not only about cooking but also about serving, as contestants are paired up to set up a restaurant and serve the guests.

Throughout the episode, the judges keep a watchful eye and offer guidance and critique to the young chefs as they navigate the challenges at hand. Chef Graham Elliot teaches the contestants how to properly fillet a fish, while Chef Christina Tosi lends her expertise on the art of making pastries.

As they work hard in the kitchen, tensions rise as they each try to outdo each other for a chance to advance to the next round. However, ovens breaking down and other technical setbacks threaten to derail their progress.

Despite the setbacks, the young chefs stay focused and push through until the very end. After presenting their dishes to the judges, they nervously await their verdicts. However, the judges have some surprise news for the contestants as they announce that not just one, but two chefs will be sent home.

With the competition heating up and the contestants more determined than ever, the pressure is on to continue to impress the judges and move one step closer to becoming the next MasterChef Junior.
