In MasterChef Junior season 1 episode 4, titled "Bad Food Bares," the young contestants are faced with a challenging mystery box filled with unusual ingredients, including rabbit, quail, and baby octopus. The judges, celebrity chefs Gordon Ramsay, Joe Bastianich, and Graham Elliot, challenge the kids to use their creativity and skills to turn these seemingly difficult ingredients into delicious dishes.

After the mystery box challenge, the contestants are divided into teams and tasked with running their own pop-up restaurants. They must come up with a concept, design a menu, and cook and serve dishes to hungry diners. However, things quickly go awry when one team's food fails to impress and their restaurant receives a scathing review from a tough food critic.

The judges then task the teams with a high-pressure tag team challenge, where they must take turns cooking a dish in a relay race-style competition. With tensions high and time running out, the contestants must work together and rely on their skills to create winning dishes.

Throughout the episode, the young chefs must overcome challenges, learn from their mistakes, and showcase their talents for the judges. With only a few contestants left in the competition, each challenge becomes more important and the pressure mounts. Who will come out on top and who will be sent home? Tune in to find out in "Bad Food Bares."
