In MasterChef Australia season 7 episode 5, the contestants face a challenge centered around mastering the art of cooking fish. To begin the challenge, they meet renowned seafood chef Josh Niland and learn the proper techniques for filleting and deboning various types of fish.

The contestants then have 90 minutes to create a dish featuring their choice of fish, which will be judged by Niland and the regular MasterChef judges. The pressure is on as the contestants not only seek to impress the judges, but also avoid being sent to the elimination round.

As the clock winds down, the contestants work furiously to plate their dishes. Some fare better than others, with standout dishes featuring inventive flavor combinations and expertly cooked fish. Others struggle with overcooked or under-seasoned fish, and face criticism from the judges.

At the end of the challenge, the judges announce the top three dishes and the bottom three dishes, with the rest of the contestants falling in the middle. The top three cooks earn immunity from elimination, while the bottom three face a second challenge in which they must cook a dessert using chocolate.

In this second round, tensions run high as the contestants push themselves to redeem their earlier mistakes. Some embrace the challenge and create stunning chocolate desserts, while others struggle with tempering chocolate or overcomplicate their dishes.

In the end, one contestant is sent home while the others breathe a sigh of relief that they made it through another round. The competition continues to heat up as the remaining contestants battle it out to become the next MasterChef Australia.
