In Mashiroiro Symphony - The Color of Lovers season 1 episode 1, titled "White-Colored Meeting," we are introduced to a new school year at Yuihime Girls' Academy. The protagonist, a high school student named Shingo Uryu, is nervous about starting his first day at a new school. On the train ride over, he reflects on his family's recent move to the countryside and his own mother's worries about him not making any new friends.
When he arrives at Yuihime, Shingo is welcomed by his new roommate, Sana Inui. Sana is an energetic and outgoing girl who is excited to show Shingo around the academy. As they walk around the campus, Shingo notices that the school only admits girls, which makes him feel a bit out of place. Despite this, Sana encourages him and they continue exploring together.
During their tour, they stumble upon a white cat and follow it to a small, abandoned building. Inside, they find three other girls, who introduce themselves as Ange Ushiromiya, Yutsuki Onomiya, and Airi Sena. Ange is the student council president and takes charge of the group, assigning tasks for everyone to do. Shingo is tasked with cleaning up the building, while the girls work on their own projects.
As Shingo cleans, he notices a painting of his new school, which looks completely different from the modern campus they're on now. Intrigued, he brings it up to the girls, who tell him that the painting is from the school's early days. They also mention that the building they're in used to be a cultural center, but it's been abandoned for years.
Despite the building's sorry state, the girls have been using it as a meeting place for the past year. They explain that they formed a bond through their shared love of art and music, and have been meeting here to work on their respective projects ever since.
Shingo is impressed by the girls' talents and personalities, and feels grateful to have stumbled upon them. Through this chance encounter, he learns that Yuihime is not just any ordinary school; it's a place where magical and extraordinary things can happen.
As the episode comes to a close, Shingo reflects on the events of the day and realizes that he's made some new, amazing friends. He looks forward to spending more time with them and discovering the school's many wonders. White-Colored Meeting sets the stage for a heartwarming and uplifting story about finding unexpected connections and growing together as individuals.
