Ep 1. Hey, Look Me Over

In the opening episode of the final season of M*A*S*H, titled "Hey, Look Me Over," the series continues to follow the antics of the doctors and nurses at the 4077th MASH (Mobile Army Surgical Hospital) unit during the Korean War.

The episode begins with the arrival of a new nurse, Lieutenant Nurse Alyson Packard (played by Lois Foraker), who is immediately met with resistance from the other nurses, namely Major Margaret Houlihan (played by Loretta Swit). This is compounded by the fact that he is being pressured by the higher-ups to perform a high-profile operation on a visiting general, despite his reservations and lack of confidence.

The rest of the episode follows the various shenanigans and mishaps that occur at the MASH unit, as they continue to treat wounded soldiers and try to maintain a sense of normalcy amidst the chaos of war. There are tense moments as the doctors deal with a soldier suffering from PTSD, as well as comedic interludes featuring the unit's wisecracking Korean interpreter, Corporal Klinger (played by Jamie Farr).

As always, the episode features a mix of humor and drama, showcasing the talents of the show's ensemble cast. It is a fitting start to the final season of this beloved series, which remains a classic example of smart and heartfelt television.
