In M*A*S*H season 10 episode 17, titled Promotion Commotion, the crew at the 4077th are faced with a dilemma when they are asked by General Korshak to put on a show for the troops in exchange for a promotion. It's a bittersweet victory, however, as they learn that the promotion they were promised is not going to happen. In the end, they come to the conclusion that it was all worth it, as they were able to bring a little bit of happiness to those who needed it most.
As always, the characters in M*A*S*H are complex and well-developed. Each member of the team has their own point of view about the situation, and the dialogue is witty and engaging. The episode touches on themes of duty, sacrifice, and the importance of finding joy in difficult circumstances.
