Martin season 2 episode 18, "Love is in Your Face (1)", starts off with Martin and Gina having relationship problems. Gina feels neglected by Martin as he focuses more on his career and his friends rather than her. Martin, on the other hand, believes that Gina is too clingy and doesn't give him enough space. As they argue, Tommy and Cole come over to try and mediate the situation but only end up making things worse.
Meanwhile, Pam has a new boyfriend named Tony who's charming, good-looking, and seems to be the perfect match for her. Tony invites Pam to a dinner party at his house but she's hesitant to go because she doesn't want to leave Gina alone with Martin during their rough patch.
Later that night, while Martin and Gina are still arguing, they receive a surprise visit from Martin's high school sweetheart, Sheneesha. Sheneesha reveals that she's in town for a few days and wants to catch up with Martin. Gina is jealous and feels insecure about their reunion.
The next day, at work, Martin reveals to Tommy, Cole, and Pam that he's been having doubts about his relationship with Gina. He's been feeling like they're not as compatible as he thought they were and has been considering breaking up with her.
Meanwhile, Pam goes to Tony's dinner party and meets his ex-girlfriend, who tells her that Tony has a history of cheating and lying. Pam becomes suspicious and starts to investigate his past.
Back at Martin's apartment, Sheneesha and Gina have a heart-to-heart conversation about their past relationships with Martin. They both realize that they still have feelings for him and want to win him back.
As the episode comes to a close, Martin and Gina sit down to talk and confront their issues. They realize that they still love each other and want to work on their relationship. Just as they're about to reconcile, Sheneesha interrupts and confesses her feelings for Martin.
Overall, "Love is in Your Face (1)" tackles the complex emotions and issues that arise in a long-term relationship. The episode explores jealousy, insecurity, and doubts that can lead to breakups but also the importance of communication, understanding, and forgiveness. It also sets up a love triangle that will continue in the next episode.
