Ep 3. Martha Takes the Cake / Codename: Martha

In Martha Takes the Cake, Martha's owners Helen and Truman are preparing for their school's annual cake-baking contest. As they leave the house to attend the contest, Martha sneaks out after them and follows them to the school.

At the school, Martha sees that the cakes are being displayed in a classroom and decides to take a closer look. But when the door to the room closes behind her, Martha becomes trapped inside and is unable to get out. She tries barking, scratching, and digging, but nothing seems to work. Meanwhile, Helen and Truman are anxiously waiting for the judges to announce the winner of the cake contest. When they realize that Martha is missing, they begin to panic and search everywhere for her.

While Martha is trapped, she remembers a trick her doggie ancestors used to escape from similar situations. She uses her powerful sense of smell to locate a small opening at the bottom of the door and begins to dig furiously. Eventually, she creates a big enough hole for her to squeeze through and reunite with her worried owners.

In Codename: Martha, Martha is recruited by a secret animal organization called P.U.P. (Pets Undercover Program) to help solve a pet-related crime in their town. Martha is excited to use her special talents to aid in the investigation and eagerly accepts the assignment.

Martha is given a special spy gear, including a camera disguised as a dog collar, and a mission to infiltrate a shady pet store. She poses as a stray dog and enters the store to gather evidence. She encounters several animals that have been mistreated and neglected by the store owner and his assistant and takes photos of them as evidence.

However, Martha is discovered by the store owner and is forced to flee. She uses her quick thinking and agility to outsmart the bad guys and escape. Later, with the help of P.U.P., the store is shut down and the animals are rescued and sent to loving homes.
