The show Marry Me follows the lives of Annie and Jake, a couple that has been together for six years and is trying to navigate the ups and downs of their relationship, including the challenges that come with getting married. In season 1 episode 17, titled "Wake Me," the couple has to deal with the aftermath of a crazy night out.

The episode starts with Annie and Jake waking up in their apartment after a wild night out with their friends Dennah and Gil. They are both feeling hungover and disoriented and can't remember everything that happened the night before. As they try to piece together what happened, they discover that they had a major fight that ended with Annie storming out of the bar and Jake losing his phone.

The rest of the episode follows Annie, Jake, and their friends as they try to find Jake's phone so they can figure out what happened during their fight. Meanwhile, Annie is also dealing with some personal issues related to her career. She is struggling to write her next screenplay and is feeling insecure about her abilities as a writer.

As the day goes on, the group navigates various obstacles in their search for Jake's phone, including a run-in with a street performer, a trip to a pawn shop, and a confrontation with a group of teenagers. Along the way, they also reminisce about the early days of their friendship and reflect on how much has changed since then.

Eventually, they are able to track down Jake's phone and listen to the recording of their fight. As they listen, they realize that the fight was mostly due to a miscommunication and that they both overreacted. They apologize to each other and make up, strengthening their relationship in the process.

The episode ends with Annie feeling inspired to write again and starting to work on her screenplay. Jake, meanwhile, surprises her with a romantic gesture that shows how much he cares about her. The episode is a sweet and funny exploration of the challenges of relationships and the importance of communication and forgiveness.
