Ep 1. Pilot

Annie and Jake, a couple in their thirties, have been together for six years and have finally decided to take the next step - getting engaged. Jake plans an elaborate proposal on the beach, involving a mariachi band and a horse-drawn carriage, but things don't go quite as he planned. Meanwhile, Annie's two best friends, Dennah and Gil, are constantly meddling in her relationship and offering their opinions on Jake's proposal. As Annie and Jake navigate the ups and downs of their engagement, they also face the challenges of blending their two very different families - Annie's overprotective parents and Jake's laid-back, weed-smoking dad. The pilot episode sets the stage for a witty and heartfelt comedy about love, marriage, and all the chaos in between.
