In Married...with Children season 8 episode 3 titled "Proud to Be Your Bud," Al Bundy becomes quite upset when he discovers that one of his close friends, Bud, is moving out of town. Al has been feeling neglected lately and sees Bud's leaving as a huge blow to his social life. Meanwhile, Peggy offers to help Marcy with a bake sale for the library. Little does she know that Marcy has ulterior motives as she tries to recruit Peggy to join her feminist group.
Things start to really heat up when Bud throws a big going-away party at the Bundy household. While everyone is getting drunk and partying, Al starts to feel left out and resentful of all the attention Bud is getting. When Bud accidentally makes a rude comment about Al's manhood, Al becomes even more upset and storms out of the party.
After some time to cool down, Al finally realizes that he was being selfish and that Bud's move is not about him at all. He decides to give Bud a sentimental gift that encapsulates all of their memories and experiences together. Meanwhile, Peggy's involvement with Marcy's feminist group takes an unexpected turn when the group decides to picket a nearby strip club. Neither Peggy nor Marcy expected the level of backlash they would receive, leading to hilarious and chaotic consequences.
Overall, "Proud to Be Your Bud" is a classic episode of Married...with Children that showcases the show's trademark humor and satire. It's a heartfelt portrayal of friendship and the various ways it can be tested, and it also touches on issues such as feminism and toxic masculinity in a way that is both humorous and thought-provoking.
