In Married...with Children season 8 episode 2 titled Hood 'n the Boyz, the Bundy family gets a glimpse of what it would be like to live in a rough and tough neighborhood. Al and his buddy Luke take their sons to a local basketball court for a game when they stumble into a "bad" part of Chicago.
As they're playing basketball, they attract the attention of a menacing group of young men and things quickly escalate. Al and Luke's sons are mugged, and the two dads must navigate this new terrain to try and get their belongings back.
Meanwhile, Peggy and Marcy take Kelly and Bud to a ritzy country club, where the two teenagers pretend to be wealthy and end up causing more than a few embarrassing moments for their mothers.
Back in the rough neighborhood, things go from bad to worse for Al and Luke as they try to retrieve their stolen property. They end up in a dangerous situation that requires the assistance of none other than local basketball legend Michael Jordan.
The episode provides an interesting contrast between the lifestyles of the Bundys and those living in disadvantaged neighborhoods. It also showcases the lengths parents will go to protect their children, even if it means putting themselves in harm's way.
Overall, Hood 'n the Boyz is filled with the classic humor and wit that Married...with Children is known for, while also providing a commentary on social issues and class disparities.
