In season 8 episode 14 of Married...with Children titled "Sofa So Good," the Bundy family is ecstatic to finally purchase a brand new sofa for their living room. Al, Peggy, Kelly, and Bud all pitch in to pay for the lavish purchase, each hoping to get something out of it. However, their plans are quickly foiled when an unexpected delivery man drops off the wrong sofa at the Bundy residence.
As the story unfolds, the Bundys find themselves stuck with a giant, multi-colored sofa that doesn't match their decor in the slightest. Despite their collective disappointment, they try to put their differences aside and make the most of their new furniture. Peggy suggests that they have a dance party on the sofa to break it in, while Bud tries to convince Kelly to let him use it for his upcoming party.
To make matters worse, their nosy neighbor Marcy comes over and makes fun of their garish new sofa. Al and Peggy try to hide it from her, but end up accidentally breaking a nearby lamp in the process. They quickly realize that the sofa is not only an eyesore, but also a potential liability.
Throughout the episode, the Bundys try to come up with various ways to dispose of the sofa without drawing attention to themselves. They consider selling it, burning it, and even burying it in the backyard, but none of these solutions prove to be practical.
Meanwhile, Kelly and Bud decide to take advantage of the situation and use the sofa as a prop in their music video. They dress up in ridiculous costumes and perform a hilarious dance routine on the sofa, hoping to make a viral hit.
As the episode draws to a close, the Bundys finally come up with a plan to get rid of the sofa once and for all. They load it up on their car and plan to dump it on the side of the road, hoping that no one will notice. However, their plan backfires when a police officer catches them in the act and forces them to take their sofa back home.
In the end, the Bundys grudgingly accept their fate and resign themselves to living with the ugly sofa. They learn to appreciate its quirks and use it as a conversation piece whenever guests come over. The episode ends with the family gathered together on the sofa, sharing a moment of togetherness despite their differences.
