Peggy Bundy is tired of being called a housewife and is desperate to rekindle her lost spark with Al. In order to do so, she decides to spend a little money on herself in an attempt to look more attractive. As she gets ready to go out, Al begins to protest and insists that she doesn't need to spend any money on her looks, but Peggy is adamant that she wants to feel beautiful.
Meanwhile, the kids are having their own problems. Kelly is ecstatic about her latest modeling gig, but Bud is struggling in school and his grades aren't up to par. Al and Peg quickly realize that they need to get involved in their children's lives in order to help them get back on track.
As the episode progresses, things take a turn for the worse when Peg accidentally leaves her credit card behind at the store and a sleazy salesman uses it to charge a number of frivolous items. When Al finds out about the charges, he explodes in anger and accuses Peg of being a "tramp."
The rest of the episode deals with the fallout from this accusation and the ways in which the Bundy family tries to move forward. In the end, they all learn valuable lessons about the importance of trust, communication, and family support.
