Married...with Children season 5 episode 17, titled "Oldies but Young 'Uns," features the Bundy family as they welcome new neighbours, the D'Arcys, to the neighbourhood. The D'Arcys are a young and attractive couple who immediately hit it off with the Bundys, and they all decide to spend a night at the bowling alley. At the alley, the Bundys and D'Arcys form a bowling rivalry and the competition heats up when Al and Peggy have to compete against the D'Arcys' teenage children.
As the night goes on, the couples start to bond and share their individual stories. The aging Bundys can't help but feel jealous of the seemingly perfect and carefree D'Arcys. After the night at the bowling alley, the couples decide to have a dinner together at the Bundy's house. During the dinner, the Bundys start to feel even more insecure around the D'Arcys who seem to have it all - youth, wealth and happiness.
As Peggy tries to find out the D'Arcys' secret to success, she discovers that the couple is actually struggling financially but is too proud to admit it. Peggy and Al decide to help out the D'Arcys by giving them money to pay for their overdue bills. The D'Arcys are touched by their gesture and reveal that they've been keeping up appearances for a long time, despite their financial woes.
At the end of the episode, the Bundys and D'Arcys share a heartwarming moment as they realise that everyone has their own struggles in life and despite their differences, they are all united in their struggles. "Oldies but Young 'Uns" is a poignant episode that reminds us that appearances can be deceiving and it's important to be kind to others even if they seem to have it all.
