At the Zoo is the tenth episode of the fourth season of Married...with Children, a popular sitcom that aired on FOX network from 1987 to 1997. The series follows the daily life of the dysfunctional Bundy family, consisting of Al (Ed O'Neill), a discontented shoe salesman, his lazy wife Peggy (Katey Sagal), their promiscuous daughter Kelly (Christina Applegate), and their dim-witted son Bud (David Faustino).
In this episode, the Bundy family decides to spend a day at the zoo after Peggy wins tickets to the zoo from a radio show contest. However, their outing quickly turns disastrous when Al forgets to bring his hat, Peggy's purse gets stolen, and the family ends up lost in the zoo. Meanwhile, Kelly and Bud split off from the family to go on their own adventures around the zoo.
As they explore the zoo, the Bundy family faces a series of mishaps and misadventures. Al somehow becomes the target of a monkey's sexual advances, which he finds both amusing and disturbing. Peggy, on the other hand, gets into a feud with another woman over who has the right to sit on a bench near the giraffe exhibit. When Peggy's purse gets stolen, the family has no money left for food or souvenirs, forcing them to steal popcorn and soda from other visitors.
As for Kelly and Bud, they have their own encounters with the animals at the zoo. Kelly becomes fascinated with a handsome zoo employee who works with the big cats and decides to pursue him at all costs. Meanwhile, Bud gets lost in the maze-like reptile house and ends up getting trapped in a cage with a deadly snake.
Throughout the episode, the Bundy family bickers, argues, and complains about their misfortunes, making life difficult for the zoo employees and the other visitors. However, they eventually manage to find each other and escape the zoo, exhausted but still intact.
At the Zoo is a typical episode of Married...with Children, full of raunchy humor, exaggerated situations, and dysfunctional family dynamics. It showcases the show's trademark combination of satire, slapstick, and sarcastic wit, as well as the chemistry between its main cast members. While not particularly nuanced or sophisticated, it provides a good dose of laughs and entertainment for fans of the show.
