The episode "My Little Secret" opens up with the four couples reflecting on their journey so far in the experiment. Some couples remain steadfast in their commitment, while others are struggling to navigate through their differences and past traumas.

The episode primarily focuses on AJ and Stephanie's relationship, who have been previously portrayed as the most volatile couple in the season. Stephanie opens up to Dr. Pepper about her fear of rejection and abandonment, which is a result of her mother leaving her at a young age. Dr. Pepper assures her that these feelings are not uncommon and suggests that she works on being honest and open with AJ.

Meanwhile, AJ is also battling his own inner demons, telling Dr. Pepper that he has a tendency to self-sabotage and push people away in his life. This self-awareness, however, is not translating well in his relationship with Stephanie, as he continues to have outbursts of anger and frustration.

The couple meets with Pastor Cal, who pressures them into confessing if they have any secrets that could potentially affect their relationship. Stephanie discloses that she has kissed a woman before, which shocks AJ. While he eventually takes it in stride, the conversation brings up trust issues between the two.

In a vulnerable moment, Stephanie confesses to AJ about her previous insecurities and fears, which leads to a heart-to-heart conversation about their feelings for each other. AJ assures Stephanie that he cares deeply for her, and they both agree to work on being more patient and understanding with each other.

Elsewhere, Keith and Kristine are still struggling to find common ground, with Kristine feeling like she is doing all the heavy lifting in their relationship. The couple meets with Dr. Pepper and discuss their differences in how they handle finances and household responsibilities. Dr. Pepper reminds Keith that Kristine is not his mother and he needs to be more active in contributing to the household.

While the couple manages to work through their problems, their communication styles are still vastly different, which may continue to create tension in their relationship.

Will and Jasmine continue to remain on solid ground, with the couple meeting with Pastor Cal to discuss their future plans. Will expresses his interest in having children with Jasmine, which she wholeheartedly agrees with. The couple seems to be on track to have a successful marriage.

Lastly, Luke and Kate continue to try and navigate their way through their vastly different personalities and values. The couple meets with Dr. Pepper and discuss Luke's lack of attraction towards Kate. While Kate is frustrated and hurt, she tries to remain open-minded and work on their relationship. Luke, on the other hand, seems to be struggling with his own feelings towards Kate, leading to more frustration and confusion in their marriage.

The episode ends with all four couples still trying to navigate their way through the experiment, with some couples making progress while others seem to be stuck in the same place.
