Kate and Josh are back with another episode of the Manhattan Love Story, this time entitled "Gay or British?" The episode opens with Kate narrating her thoughts about how she's gotten to know Josh better in the past few weeks, but she still feels like there's much to uncover about him. The storyline revolves around Kate's suspicion that Josh might be gay, or British because of his accent.

We see Kate and Josh hanging out at a comedy club, where they discover that the comedian is a ventriloquist, triggering Kate's interest in someone else's "voice." Throughout the episode, Kate quizzes Josh on various British accents, trying to get to the bottom of his own accent, hoping to prove that he is, indeed, British.

Their day of fun and adventure includes a visit to an antique store where Kate suggests that Josh's artistic ability could quickly boost his income by repairing antique goods. Much to Kate's surprise, Josh knows his way around antiques and identifies a fake vase.

Later in the day, Kate has a meeting with her boss, Cooper, and is uncharacteristically nervous. When she tells Josh about the meeting, he encourages her, and she decides that she will stand up for her ideas and convince Cooper that her pitch is a winner. This scene shows how supportive Josh is of Kate, even when it comes to her career.

Meanwhile, back at Josh's apartment, he shows his more sensitive side when he reveals to his roommate that he's struggling with bills and has to return all the furniture he bought, including the bed. This news adds up and makes Kate even more confused about Josh's lifestyle, further fueling her suspicions about his sexuality.

Josh and Kate meet up at a bar where Kate is convinced, she will confront Josh about his sexuality. She questions him about a few things she thinks a gay man will be comfortable with, and frictions build up. Their conversation takes a turn for the worse, and Kate runs off, leaving Josh alone to mull over the developments.

At the close of the episode, Josh confronts Kate in Central Park. He explains to her that he's not gay but has ways of coming across as so and that her assumptions hurt him deeply. They both realize how they have misunderstandings, and as he heads for work, Kate realizes that she doesn't care whether Josh is gay, British, or whatever. She likes him the way he is, and she is looking forward to seeing what happens next for them.

Manhattan Love Story's "Gay or British?" explores the challenges of starting a new relationship, and how often we let our own assumptions get in the way. It is an entertaining, lighthearted, and relatable episode that is sure to resonate with viewers who have ever found themselves in a new relationship, trying to navigate the unknown. Whether you are Team Josh, Team Kate, or both, this episode is the perfect mix of humor, drama, and romance, making it a must-watch for fans of the series.
