In the premiere episode of Man v. Food's eighth season, host Casey Webb heads to Los Angeles, California to take on some of the city's most famous food challenges.

First up, Casey visits Dog Haus, where he takes on the "Hangover Burger Challenge." This enormous burger is piled high with bacon, a fried egg, cheese, and onion strings, and towers over a mountain of tots. Casey must finish this monster meal in just 12 minutes to earn a spot on the restaurant's Wall of Fame.

Next, Casey heads to the Meatzilla food truck, where he tries the "Triple Triple Challenge" – a burger made with three beef patties, three slices of cheese, and three slices of bacon. If Casey can finish this behemoth sandwich and a side of fries in under 10 minutes, he'll win a t-shirt and bragging rights.

After all that meat, Casey needs some veggies, so he heads to the Original Farmers Market to try the "French Onion Soup Challenge" at Magee's Kitchen. This classic soup is topped with a giant piece of bread and a mound of gruyere cheese, and Casey has just 20 minutes to finish it all.

Finally, it's time for dessert, and Casey heads to Donut Friend to take on the "Donut Friend Challenge." This challenge requires Casey to create his own donut creation using a giant, 6-pound donut as the base. With endless toppings and fillings to choose from, Casey must create a masterpiece that weighs at least 10 pounds, which he then must eat in under one hour.

Throughout the episode, we see Casey struggling to finish these massive meals, but he never loses his sense of humor or his enthusiasm for the challenge. Along the way, he also meets some of the people behind these iconic Los Angeles eateries and learns about the history and culture that make these places so beloved.
